Inspiration for plant-based eating and healing

Houston Doctor Saves Lives Using Food As Medicine

Mercy For Animals shined a spotlight on Dr. Baxter Montgomery, a Houston-based cardiologist who is successfully using food as medicine.

In a video released by the organization, Dr. Montgomery talked about the health benefits of a vegan lifestyle and clearly explained how he has reversed diseases by prescribing a plant-based diet.

In 2006, Dr. Montgomery founded the Montgomery Heart & Wellness Center which features an attraction that’s quite unique for a medical practice: a restaurant that specializes in serving a variety of colorful and raw plant-based meals.

Check out this informative video if you’ve ever wondered how vegans get their protein, the type of things you can eat to improve your personal health and the simple steps you can take to achieve total wellness.
